Clear dish detergent. My new favorite cleaner. This stuff is incredible. Just squirt it on your stain, and use a wet rag (not paper towel, just an absorbent white rag) to wipe from outside the stain to the middle (this way you don't spread the stain around). Every Mom really needs to have this on hand.
I used it to get an ink stain out of cream colored carpet that was there since we moved in to our new house. It also worked on removing makeup from the carpet in 5 seconds! So instead of worrying and fretting about spills, have those friends over and be ready for the inevitable cleanup with this little squirt bottle that packs a punch!
